Breeder's premium

Why breed in France?

A highly acclaimed system designed to help our Breeders: more than €30 million distributed per year! The French Racing Industry is committed to sustainable development of its breeders. The breeders’ premium system varies whether the horse races on the flat or over jumps. However, in both cases a minimum of 10% of premiums is distributed to breeders of French-bred or assimilated Frenc-bred horses. These premiums are calculated on the basis of prize-money plus the owners’ premium.
